Local Naloxone Resources
Now that some naloxone brands are available over-the-counter, many community organizations are distributing free naloxone either to people directly or through vending machines or naloxone boxes. Examples of places that may provide free naloxone include public health agencies, substance use prevention and treatment agencies, recovery community centers and more.

Naloxone at Pharmacies

Nasal spray naloxone can be purchased over the counter from pharmacies, big box retailers, and online. The cost is about $45 for a kit with two doses (nasal spray devices).

You can ask your pharmacist about a prescription for naloxone. You may be able to get naloxone at a reduced price or free if your health insurance covers it.

Naloxone may be available for free at participating pharmacies. Talk to your pharmacy to see if they participate in any free naloxone programs.
